Emma couldn't believe her ears when she heard the news from her doctor. She had just received a call from her doctor's office, informing her that her recent test results showed that she was pregnant. Shocked and overwhelmed, Emma sat on her bed and tried to process the news.
She had been feeling a bit off lately, but she had attributed it to stress from work and the recent changes in her relationship with Max. She and Max had been spending more time together, but things had been a bit rocky between them since they had their first argument a few weeks ago.
Emma knew that Max wasn't ready for a child, and she wasn't sure if she was either. She had always imagined having children someday, but she didn't expect it to happen so soon. She didn't know how to break the news to Max or even if she wanted to keep the baby.
As she sat in her room, lost in thought, her phone rang. It was Max. Emma hesitated before answering, unsure of what to say.
"Hey, what's up?" Max asked.
Emma took a deep breath before responding. "I have some news," she said hesitantly.
"What is it?" Max asked, sensing her hesitation.
"I'm pregnant," Emma blurted out, unable to hold it in any longer.
There was a long pause on the other end of the line. Emma waited anxiously for Max's response, unsure of what he was thinking.
Finally, Max spoke. "Wow," he said softly. "That's... unexpected."
Emma felt a wave of emotions wash over her. She wasn't sure if Max was happy or upset about the news. "I don't know what to do," she said, tears welling up in her eyes.
Max was silent for a moment before responding. "We'll figure it out together," he said reassuringly.
Emma felt a sense of relief wash over her. She knew that she couldn't handle this alone, and she was grateful to have Max by her side.
As they hung up the phone, Emma knew that their lives were about to change forever. She wasn't sure what the future held, but she knew that she had Max and they would figure it out together.
