The fire flickered between us. The shadows on his face moved against the strong line of his jaw. His wet hair curled at the ends. His wolf was still close to the surface. I could feel it watching me, and for the first time in my life my own wolf was watching someone back. I looked at the fire. "I guess not all visits with 'the enemy' are terrible," I said quietly.
