“Emma, I am going to bring in the Alpha now,” the doctor says, bringing back to the here and now. When Uncle Adam comes in he walks straight to my bedside while the doctor stays in the room to talk to us.
“All of Emma’s test results and everything in her exam today shows she is good to be discharged today. I will begin the paperwork shortly, she should be ready to go before dinner,” she announces walking out the door. I keep looking at the closed door, forcing myself to keep from crying.
“I know that I upset you about transferring to the Midnight Pack, but I have something for you. I was going to wait to give it to you until your 17th birthday next year,” he tells me, grinning from ear to ear. “
