Damien's POV
My ringing phone cut through the atmosphere and I groaned inwardly. I looked back at Isabella, but she was already looking away from me.
I reluctantly pulled my phone from my pocket, and my eyes widened with shock, Simon never calls me at a time like this. Something must have happened, and it better be the news I've been expecting.
I connected the call and placed the phone on my ear. I said nothing, not wanting to give anything away. As much as I want to tell Isabella the whole truth.
There are still some things I'm yet to find out, and the things I suspect now might break her heart beyond repair.
