Of course, I imagined that Arvel would come up with one of his physical tricks. Every time we met, we seemed to end up kissing. I knew that, at some point, he would get close and do something; I just didn't know it would be so soon. I was so determined to convince him to reject me that I didn't notice the time. “If you don't like that, Anna. Then I'll reject you,” he had said. His kiss was gentle; his touch was too.
