Ignoring Arvel for the rest of the day was my goal. If I didn't bother replying, maybe the messages would stop. Possibly he'd start calling, and I'd ignore him, and if he insisted, I'd block him. It was simple; I just needed to focus on my work. And it was a lot of work. My father was absent that morning, probably involved in some meeting. I had a lot of contracts and papers to sort out, so I started to focus on that. As expected, it wasn't long before Arvel started calling.
