It feels like, I'm still seeking something.
Brave, clever, and independent woman. That's what they described me.
I'm the ghost of the girl that I wanted to be the most. Unfortunately, I'm not one of those girls that you probably looked up to.
Furthermore, I decided to stand up from my bed, and this empty room is the only one that appeared in my sight.
I sighed. When these happenings will end? I'm tired, I want to take a rest. My hands are full of blood.
What happened? The tears suddenly fell from my cheeks. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands, but it turns out that they can't be cleaned.
In my perspective, everybody has something to protect, and keep with them.
Everything seems to be usual, but when you put your feet on their shoe, it will reveal their dark, and sorrowful life.
Some of them were suffering from different fears and traumas. However, some of them are the reasons why people have traumas.
I looked in the mirror. This is the real me. My weary hazel eyes continue to flow with tears.
What you've thought of someone is just your perspectives or conclusions.
There's a bunch of people that we can't read their minds, or we can't read their body language.
Whatever you do, they will recognize your wrong deeds. I did everything to make them proud, and to evade the disappointments.
It seems like I don't have any place in this society. We can't control everyone's mind. If they want to file a case, they will do it. If they want to complain, they will do it.
Not only that, but if they want to advocate for everyone, they will do it. Losing your sanity is a big problem.
It's your mind, you must think about what is the best for you, and what is the best for everyone.
I'm selfish, call me what you wanted, yet I'm still the same. My memories were brought up in my mind. I can see it clearly through my vision. I smiled bitterly.
“Zoe! Come here! Let's play!” the little girl shouted, “Do you still remember me? I'm Sammy,” she introduced herself while holding some coloring book.
“Uhm, yes, you're from the grade school, right?” I asked, “Yes! Exactly! I followed your car, I want to play with you,” Sammy blushed, and she scratched her nape.
“Okay, let's go to my house.” I accompanied her to go back to our house.
“Hi, Mr. And Mrs. Riego, good day!” she greeted my parents with her smiles.
They are just looking at Sammy with a cold expression. I glimpsed at Sammy.
Her eyes are squinting. I shrugged my shoulder, and I pulled her from that kind of embarrassment.
“Why do your parents were glaring at me? Did I say something wrong?” she whispered.
“Nah, just don't mind them,” I said with an assurance of smiles. In my opinion, I got her trust, and to be comfortable in here.
We went to my bedroom, and I offered her to sit down and feel at home even though she is in my room.
“Uhm, Zoe?” she asked while examining the room, “Yes?” I answered. I looked at her face.
“Besides your parents, do you still have some relatives in here?” she asked.
She looks terrified, “Why? What's wrong?” I began to worry, because of her reaction. She sends me a signal that I need to get closer to her.
“Something strange is watching us,” she said in a whispering way, “You can see that thing too?” My eyes widen. I never thought if she can see that too.
“The one with big eyes and its mouth is smiling like a pathetic?” I asked. She looked at me with her mouth wide open, and a bewildered look on her face.
“Yes! Exactly!” I used my finger to say that she needs to lower her voice. She's shouting, and I feel like I'm uncomfortable with that.
“By the way, what do you want to eat? Don't mind that strange thing, it will disturb us,” I stated. Sometimes, if you recognize something, just don't mind it.
“Uhm, nothing, I just want to play with you,” she said while her sight is wandering in every corner of my room.
“You look neat, and clean, when it comes to the bedroom, nice!” she exclaimed, “How old are you?” she asked me.
“Me?” I want to slap my face for that nonsense question, “Yes, you, who else?” I laughed when she said those words of her.
“Secret,” I smiled. “Based on your height, you look like a seven-year-old girl,” she scanned me.
“Height is not the basis in everything.” I'm not mad, or what, I'm just stating the fact, “However, you did not look like a child— What I mean is, your mind is on a different level.” I see.
“At the same time, I like your brunette hair, hazel eyes, and your sweet plus unforgettable smiles,” she said in amused, “It seems like, I will never be getting tired of this,” she winks at me.
I want to throw the pillow towards her because of her silly attitude, “I made up my decisions, it's final that I want to be friends with you!” Her smiles widen.
“Let's take a picture, shall we?” I nodded at her. She took her phone and starts to capture our faces.
After a bunch of capturing, we decided to go outside, and play hide-and-seek. I will find her, and we will be racing to go back to our base. The game started.
I start to count one to thirty seconds. While I'm covering my eyes, I felt like she's already running, and finding a place to hide.
The thirty seconds have been already passed. It seems like she found a good place to hide.
When I move forward, the realization hits me. No! It can't be. A child scream reached my ears.
Oh, no! She found something in our basement! I need to hurry up before something bad will happen to her.
Shocks, I forgot that thing! I ran immediately to reach our basement. My heart was racing, like a million times. It seems like she reached our basement. She's in danger if she already saw it.
“Sammy!” I shouted while gasping for air. This is not good.
