CHAPTER 10 Brad came bounding down the stairs. “Sorry Mom gotta go -- really late.” “Wait, Brad! You haven’t had any breakfast and I wanted to ask you if you heard your father leave this morning?” “No Mom, sorry, I didn’t. No time to eat. I’ll catch something after my first class.” “Wait for me,” Evie yelled grabbing her coat and racing after him, “remember I need a ride.” “Oh right! Car trouble, sorry I forgot.
