Disappointment was a much more powerful emotion for Martin, once his anger subsided. He decided to give the twins a thorough examination and then send them to bed, without any further discussion.
Martin examined Brad first. “You’re fine, except for a bit of indigestion.”
Martin knew from the reports Rosie had provided that the formula would kick into high gear as soon as digestion started and from what Brad told him they ate, Martin estimated that would be any minute.
“You may have some trouble sleeping but you should be fine, by morning.” Brad had a million questions; mostly about what he saw downstairs but his father would answer none of them.
