33 NoraOne minute after Channing departed, Nora put her untouched glass of orange juice in the fridge, shook a smoke from her pack, and lit up. Man, she was going to miss smoking with Channing. But she agreed with Winnie. An expectant mother shouldn’t inhale toxic fumes. Savoring the nicotine hit, Nora popped back into her kitchen alcove and started a new pot of coffee.
