After I had gotten to know his brother, Beta, and his Beta female better, we had gone to bed and continued where we had left of earlier that day. We fell asleep in a tangle of naked limbs and sheets. His arms wrapped around me holding me to him tightly. We were woken by the sound of the door banging open and a mermaid with legs launching herself on top of the covers in between us. I lifted my head to see my best friend grinning back at me as my mate growled at her.
