I slammed the butt of my gun into Marino’s face, sending him sprawling to the ground with a grunt. He laughed even as he bled into the dirt.
"ALEX!" Zephyr barked. "FOCUS!"
I sucked in a shaking breath.
He was lying. He had to be lying.
But somewhere deep inside, I knew — he wasn't.
"FIND HER!" I roared to everyone. "NOW!"
The estate erupted into a flurry of motion. Teams split off instantly, searching every inch of the compound, the surrounding woods, checking every feed from the drones.
But deep down, I knew Damon hadn’t stayed close. He would've taken her far.
