CHAPTER FIVE

*PART TWO*

The night was growing older and the event was coming to an end. Mr.King made a few business deals and was proud of the outcome, he and Leah were walking around chatting with a few CEOS to end the night off.

From the corner of his eyes Mr.Briggs was hot on his heels, "Ahh Mr. King my man!" he said squeezing his shoulder and dapping him up. Leah exchanged a kiss on the cheek with Mrs.Briggs.

"We certainly had a good time tonight, right baby" leah said looking up at Cameron 

"Certainly did" he smiled 

"Well i'm glad you guys did and i'm even more excited to start working on this business deal with you" Mr. Briggs added 

Mr. Briggs wasn't going to let the night pass without ceiling the deal King Corp was a big number on the market and he was determined  to hold some shares in his company.

Kiara was looking a mile away at the encounter between her parents and Cameron King, she kept her eyes focus on his lips trying to read what he was saying. She realised a older woman at his side, Cameron's hands were around her waist.

A sense of jealousy came over her, she quickly ignored it coming to the understanding that she was doing to much. That woman had to be his wife or maybe just an escort for the night she thought to herself.

She was determined to find out so she made her way towards the group. Gently walking up she interrupted. 

"Sorry to interrupt, Dad I'm getting ready to leave" she said

"Oh everything alright?" he questioned "Sorry where are my manners, this is my daughter Kiara" "My Princess!" he added

"Kiara meet the Kings"

Kiara smiled and put her hand out to shake both Cameron's hand and his wife she now knew about. She didn't want to mention their encounter earlier not knowing what problems that would cause.

Cameron's mind was already racing she was enticing and he need to keep his composure. Upon shaking her hand he allowed his thumb to rub at the back of her hand in a circular motion. That sent chills through her hand and she tensed. Her eyes met with his again and that Fiery feeling in her cheeks reflamed.

She played it off with a shy smile he noticed well.

Leah was watching taking in every move between the two it was quick but she noticed it. She thought of him as disgusting he had no shame he was flirting right in front of her. She knew the respect for marriage meant nothing to him at this stage in their relationship. He showed it more and more everyday.

"Well we better get going " his wife ended, she hugged Mrs. Briggs and shaked Mr. Briggs hand.

 "Thank You for coming reach home safe" Tevon added "King i'll call you"

Cam nodded and smiled he looked at Kiara once more before following behind his now furious wife.

"Such nice people" 

"You know she is twice his age, i bet she can't get enough" Sandra said looking at Kiara

Both Kiara and her father looked at her mom like she was crazy. "What i'm just saying either she keeping up or she ain't"

Mrs. Briggs wasn't easy she made sure to know who was who and the latest gossip on everyone they interacted with. "Lets go my lovely ladies" Tevon said taking both his wife and daughter by the hand leading them unto the dance floor.

 Mr. Briggs was happy with his successful night and wanted to go home and make endless love to his wife she deserved it.

Hours later the limo rolled up into the family's drive way, Kiara was exhausted her feet were sore from the heels and she had a headache from worrying about Onika. On her way home she sent he a few messages and voicemails.

"Thanks Again Man" replied Mr.Briggs to the driver as he pulled off.

Everyone made they way upstair to head to bed, Mrs. Briggs stopped in her steps halting Kiara.

"Where's India?" she questioned

" She left earlier to umm go home" Kiara lied, she hated doing it but she really didn't want problems.

"Picking up behind that mother of hers" Mrs. Briggs added rolling her eyes

 Kiara remained silent while leaning against her door pane and listening to her mother.

"I tell you both of them are nothing but issues, I see problems with that girl down the road"

"I don't trust her and she ain't good company"

"Mom not tonight please" Kiara whined

"I'm just saying Kiara" Mrs. Briggs protested

"She wasn't throwing herself around,was she?" 

She knew exactly what India's behaviour resulted in and her little secret of messing around with older men. Not judging her daughter on her friend choices she gave her the freedom but she was certainly disappointing her. 

"She wasn't trust i was with her straight up until she left " Kiara rolled her eyes and walked into her room. She started changing in front of  her mother.

"Strange" her mother replied looking a bit confuse with her daughters answer. "Well i'll leave you to it goodnight sweetheart" she walked up to her daughter and kissed her forehead.

Before heading in Kiara decided to text India one last time.

She cared for her friend she certainly wasn't going to let her get away.

Plugging in her phone she turned off her night lamp and layed in silence. Allowing her mind to race through the events of the day. She sighed to herself thinking of Mr.King , this was the second time he floated around in her head. It wasn't long before she drifted off to sleep , light snores filled her room.
