Gamma Aldrick Harker

906 Words
Aldrick My day started off okay, alarm went off on time, had enough time to jack off in the shower, clothes neatly pressed, hair under control, breakfast satisfactory. A Gammas job is stressful, but I love it; I'm head of the pack's military and security, the enforcer and executioner. I wasn't raised into the position as the Alpha and Beta were; I met Alpha Brodey Williams and Beta Miles Delgado when they were just heading out of college, and they sent me over from the council to help with some security issues. I thought they looked like douches, frat boys with too much money and time. The whole popped collar and gelled back hair. I just wanted to get my job done and get the f**k out of there. It had been a rough start with the three of us since I tend to be serious, introverted, and a loner. The frat boys eventually won me over and the three of us have been best friends ever since. The commitment they have to each other as friends and brothers is as loyal as it can get, and I admired they would die for each other and anyone else in their pack. They are serious about their pack and their responsibilities and they're the only ones that can give me any type of challenge in a fight. Barely, but close. My respect for them is high and they give that respect right back to where they have included me in their tight circle as brother. When they asked me to stay on as Gamma, I couldn't say no. It's a sweet job. Now at thirty-one, I'm still just as fierce as I was when I first came to this pack. I'm a dominant lycan, massive in build and stronger than the average lycan and far stronger than a werewolf, even the dominant ones. With my tanned skin, deep set black eyes, tattoos, long Viking braided brown hair, beard and 6'4 height, I'm still intimidating and impressive to look at. I took a deep breath and asked my secretary to repeat what he just said. "ummm.... sir, I lost your schedule" my secretary was currently trying to back up towards the door hoping to flee. His secretary could see the look in his Gamma’s eyes, and it was bad, terrible. He had the stupid schedule when he went to the bathroom and technically; he did not lose it. He just dropped it in the urinal, but he wasn't about to admit to the Gamma that he peed on it. Gamma Aldrick had ordered him days ago to transfer his schedule to a digital device, but he forgot. "You lost my schedule? My very, very important, can't live without schedule?" My secretary refused to meet my eyes and shifted his feet nervously while taking a step backwards. "Uh, yeah, that one, but it should be fine since you have nothing going on this week," he lied as he looked down and took two more steps back towards the door. This asshole. "Didn't I have a meeting today?" I asked. I know I sound irritated. I am irritated. Why is he even working here? "How the f**k did you even get this job?" "Uh, they owed my dad a favor and asked Alpha Brodey to give me a job since I failed warrior school,” one more step back.... "And I was the lucky bastard that got stuck with you?" I asked. "Sorry sir, can I go to lunch now?" asked secretary whatever his name was, he was currently hanging onto the doorframe. I know he can hear my deep sigh from the door he's trying to escape from. I looked over at the time, 8am. Seriously? Lunch? "Yeah, go and for the love of....don't come back. Ever." I rub my hands over my face, hoping I have a backup somewhere with my schedule. I'm probably going to have to wing it this week. I sit here for a minute contemplating all the different ways I can make my secretary’s death look like an accident before sitting up and grabbing the files on the top of my desk. I flip the top file open and read the name at the top, Emma "Glitch" Winters. I had asked the HR manager weeks ago to headhunt for my new cyber security department and I was interested in this girl, very interested. She didn't have a formal education and was still in high school, but graduating very soon. She has already made a name for herself. Hackers, gamers and small businesses knew her as Glitch. Orphan, homeless, no ties to family or friends. She was perfect. I had sent some of my men to watch her and so far, I'm liking what I hear. She keeps to herself, is shy and reserved, works hard, is intelligent and blends into the background. Like I said, she was perfect. I'm even digging the way she looks. I've looked at her pictures countless times. She has a whole vibe going on, a bit androgynous yet still feminine. In most of the pictures sent to me, she has a hoodie pulled low over her face but the ones where her face is clear, I couldn't help but admire. A perfect bone structure under flawless skin with sharp, intelligent eyes. I take a big stretch and get up from behind my desk. Time to snag a little omega.
