We are not poorly trained I cannot believe how well trained these warriors are. Charlotte breaks the silence beaming thanking us all for the opportunity. She let us know we will begin the “tactical” training in a few moments.
She grabs a remote and clicks a button suddenly classical music starts playing loudly across the training grounds. Training session has been chosen for today we will go over stealth.
She comes over and explains to keep it interesting she has about 15 different types of music in the system, and she hits random based on the type of music will be the training session and she points to a chart on the wall. The chart is interesting Rock= Physical combat, Pop= Agility, Classic= Stealth and so on.
She explains we will be separating into 2 groups hunter and prey; the prey must learn to hide and strike without alerting the others and the hunter must work together to locate and eliminate the prey without giving their position or it could cost them their lives.
My pack starts saying obviously they would like to be the hunters as her warriors want to be prey, she decided we will mix the groups. My mate and Alpha ended up being prey and I a hunter. Prey have a 10-minute head start. When a team is eliminated, an alarm will go off. She kisses me and Aristeo is exited, it’s in our nature to enjoy the hunt.
She pulls the prey over and goes over their plan I can see my Alpha is impressed. The timer starts and they head out into the forest training grounds.
We are going over tactics and different scenarios to have an advantage her warriors are providing amazing ideas, things I never would have thought about. The timer goes off and we go.
I can smell my team but barely, I can’t smell her at all or her team. I’m going to have to ask how they do it. I want to win; I decide to go and hunt for my pack members since it’s the only ones I can sense. Something is wrong I can smell them, but their scents are everywhere. I hear movement in a tree and drop to the ground as well as the hunters who stuck with me. We are slowly approaching to take them out. It’s getting very quiet, and Aristeo is telling me to run. I turn back and there is barely no one left behind me. What the hell.
I call the team and we are back-to-back approaching the tree when we get close enough all that is there was a shirt tied and being pulled from another location. It’s a trap, f**k we need to run and regroup we start to run and Jonathan tripped on something but did not get back up I see he is marked with red he was killed.
How are they taking us out? I take a breath to calm down and hear my Alpha link me. He tells me better luck next time, what do you mean. I then hear his voice next to my ear saying dead.
My eyes are extremely wide, and the alarm blared. I guess I was the last one standing. I never saw or heard any of them, were we really the hunters?
Aristeo is humming in my head praising our mate and how amazing she is. We are walking out of the training grounds. It’s lunch time I didn’t realize we were there for so long. My pack members are excited saying how much fun it was and I see them thanking my mate. She lets them know that tomorrow they will have individual training based on their needs to go enjoy themselves and rest.
We went to lunch and we were getting to know each other better. Allot of her warriors are omegas not just ranked members I also learned that the male warriors have nothing on the female ones.
That explains their expressions earlier. She explained how they learned to suppress their scent and hide others with herbs. How did you learn all this? She began to tell me her story. As omegas my mother helped in the kitchen and hospital, she was passionate about herbs and how they could be used, she is a firm believer that everything has a use. My father was a hunter but fell ill for some time and unable to shift, he had to sharpen his tracking and hunting skills to not starve. Both my parents would take me with them and teach me.
