Chapter TwentyKiera and Jack awoke in unison the next morning in a tangle of bed sheets and limbs. After disentangling themselves a little, Kiera placed her head on Jack’s chest and draped a leg across his, pulling the bed covers around them as protection against the cold morning.
Jack moved a few stray hairs from her face and began to stroke it down. They were silent for several minutes, then his hand stopped moving and Kiera thought he might have drifted back to sleep.
