Chapter FourteenOne moment Hedrek was leering at him, the sword about to cut into his neck, and the next, Hedrek was toppling backwards away from him, an expression of shock on his face. He rolled quickly to his side and saw Kiera a few metres away. Her arms were outstretched, and she was biting her lip in concentration. It was as though she had Hedrek in an invisible lasso.
