"Hello, who is this?" I asked after picking up the call.
"Hello, my name is Xavier Tate. I hope I'm speaking with Mr Adrian Darlington?" The caller asked me.
"Yes, and how can I help you?" I asked while wondering who the caller was and what he wanted.

"Well, I'm calling you on behalf of your wife, Mrs Amelia Jones. I'm actually her lawyer," the caller said to me through the phone.
"Wait, what?" I asked in surprise, as I didn't even know that Amelia had another lawyer different from mine. As I was still trying to digest the shocking news that I just heard, Melissa walked into the sitting room and sat down beside me on the sofa.
"So if I understand well, you are my wife's lawyer?" I asked the caller, still not believing what I just heard.
