Damian and Daniel had barely left the hospital after the confrontation when the arguments started again—not with each other this time, but with me. They called it concern, but I called it suffocation. Every time I closed my eyes, I heard them: “Papa, you need to rest.” “Papa, let us handle this.” “Papa, stop worrying about the company.” As if I could.
