Chapter 33

"Well, I don't know what to say but you know I'm not her and we're completely different person. Anyways, it's getting late and we probably must go now before the dark creeps in. I hope we made this day special for your family." I told them trying my best, not to seem obvious. Lynnet and Dudley apologized and thanked us once more. We then bid farewell to grandma and the children. I knelt down so I could talk to one of the kids which I think Willy is, and we hit it off pretty well, I think. I hugged him until... He pulled down my mask rather strongly and it revealed my face! I pulled it back up instantly but Dudley saw it already and I just didn't know what to do! "You are the princess! Is it really you, princess Scarlet??" "Please, I beg of you not to tell anyone! Please, don't send me back to that monster!" I can't help but break down. Finley came to my comfort. "You even mentioned earlier that your name is Scar and that just tied up everything. I know that only your mom calls you that because I've stood beside you and your mom for so long. I know you've probably don't recognize me because of the rules but trust me, I've watched you grow into a fine, young woman. I don't mean this to sound creepy but I mean it in a genuine way with no malice at all. That's why even if you really are the princess, I won't surrender you to them! I know that you are innocent, milady and that you have a golden heart. You going here anonymously just right after finding out about us speaks so much of what kind of person you are! I could keep talking here if you don't trust me. Now you should keep calm princess, just breathe." Dudley explained. "Here, drink this water, princess." Lynnet handed over. I drank the whole glass bottomless so I could let all of this sink in to me. "I...I don't know what to say, really. You see I always believe that there are still people out there who still supports the truth and it's actually diminishing by the moment. But now...I think that it was worth it. It's worth holding on to that belief." "No worries, princess. You know we even want to help you. You see, we were saddened by what happened to you and the queen and we just want to help you so badly. It's not because of what you did today but because we want to defend and help a person who rightfully deserves it. We're with you along the way, princess." "My husband's right, princess. You can trust us. We won't tell anyone about this and we'll help you all the way. Consider this as a small alliance." Lynnet assured me. ****************** Scarlet and Finley went right back into the woods after the special interaction with the Simmons family. Their faces are beaming with joy as they walk home. "You know Scarlet, I do believe that there are more people like the Simmons out there. I think that more people still believes in you and are willing to help out." Finley uttered. "Yes, I hope so. I mean there are times that I do lose hope for myself and for everyone but things like this is what keeps me going. I still believe that goodness will always prevail." Scarlet responded. The two got home in time for supper. Tucky has already prepared everything. He really is quite a family man and he cooks really well. After dinner, the two went straight to rest for it's been a long day. *********************** The three dwellers woke up to another day. This day is dedicated for another magic training. They have leveled it up to just a slightly harder basic magic. "Oh by the way, I'm so glad, we didn't encounter those vicious elementalists yesterday." Finley suddenly mentioned. "Oh yeah, but I'm still quite worried. Where could those thugs be?? I do hope they're not causing much more trouble. And you know what I've been thinking since last night before going to sleep?" Scarlet replied to him. Finley seem to have slightly lessened the awkwardness in him when he's around Scarlet. "What is it?" "Well, in Lynnet's story, she mentioned that those elementalists came in their home looking for something. What on earth could they be looking for in a commoner's home? And how did Dudley, Lynnet's husband actually defeated the three elephants. I mean he doesn't have magic." Scarlet told him. "Unless...." Finley thought. "Unless what?" "Unless, you know, he does. It's not impossible and he had his friends with him. It could be one of his friends who does have some kind of power or it could be him." "Yeah, you do have a point but it still doesn't quite add up to everything. I'm really curious about it." Scarlet implied. "Don't think about it too much, Scarlet. They seem like good people so you don't have to worry that much. And the Simmons are safe now." Scarlet then smiled at Finley's reassurance but her thoughts seem to be bothering her still. They proceeded with their short training and it turned out well. Finley is still flawed with how he does it but he decently finishes it after a few tries. That means, he really is a fast learner. They finished just in time for lunch. ********************** After lunch, Finley decided to walk around town and just wander around. He would like to familiarize himself with the places that surround him just as he did back in Tynewt. He then decides to head south and explore the village opposite from Draco. He has no clue what kind of place it is but he is up for a new challenge and new surprises. Even back in his world, he already has the desire to wander and explore although his mother would always forbid. All through his teenage life and even his childhood, he has always been robbed with his rights of fun and happiness.
