Finley stood there feeling annoyed and insulted by her remarks.
"How dare she question my sexuality. She just cannot see how manly and handsome I am." Finley told himself.
Finley decided to buy the food he wanted to buy for them and then he plans to go straight back to their dwelling.
After he bought enough food for the evening, he decided to start on his way back. It's too risky to explore further considering the number of swindlers that might be lurking anywhere.
As he was walking, he saw a familiar woman throwing arrows towards a group of well groomed men who seem to be harming a young man in one corner of the street. They were cornering the young man who looked so helpless in the middle. As Finley perceived a closer view, he saw that the archer was Kasstin and he was amazed by what she can do. The accuracy of every shot is perfectly executed, even with the fast movement of the enemies. She butchered them all consecutively with no arrow wasted. The group of men tried to crawl away from her whilst filled with fear. The young man who looks like he could be fourteen years of age sincerely thanked her and went on with his way.
Finley tried to catch up with Kasstin as she was about to leave.
"Kasstin! Hey, wait up!" he called out to her.
"Ugh, you again?? What is it? You should have gone home already before someone kicks your arse again." Kasstin told him off while rolling her eyes at her.
"Well, I was about to but then I saw you fight off those group of men. Wow, you really know your bow and arrow, ey? I mean, you were really amazing awhile back when you saved me but when I got to see more of that action, boy, am I so impressed even more! You were great and was just so powerful." Finley genuinely complimented with amusement on his face.
"Is it your first time to see a woman with a bow and arrow??" Kasstin asked.
"Well, sort of? It's just that I've never seen anyone as good as you did."
"Then I guess I am fulfilling my role as one expert-class archer in this kingdom. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go now and you better not follow me around because I swear to all gods that you are so annoying." Kasstin pointed out strongly to him before walking away.
Finley continued on his path but he can't get Kasstin out of his mind. He thinks that she would be a great addition to their party considering those mad skills that she got that you would rarely see. He's just thinking of how he could convince her to join and how would he explain everything about their party.
"No, I should think of Scarlet first. She is so protective of her identity that I should not let just anyone I met once in on this. But I mean, Kasstin! Those were exceptional skills she got and we'll need that kind of accomplice. But Scarlet! Ugh! Maybe I'll ask Scarlet first before asking Kasstin. I'll just go back here tomorrow." Finley argued with himself and decided to go back to the dwelling first so she could ask Scarlet's consent on this. It is her party anyways.
*******************************
Finley finally arrived and was cheerfully greeted by Tucky and Scarlet.
"So how was it? How far have you gone?" Scarlet asked out first with a smile on her face.
"Have you met any laaadies?" Tucky teasingly asked him.
"Well..." Finley shyly said.
"Well?? You seem like a lady's man and I can already see the ladies flocking around you." Tucky added in his playful tone. Scarlet's beaming face turned upside down and she became quiet after Tucky's statement. She pretended to do something else to make it seem like she's not interested with the conversation going on.
"Oh no, no, no. It's not like that. I mean, the women barely even came close to me. But there's this one lady and she seem kind of extraordinary." Finley continued.
Scarlet who was on the corner of the room suddenly choked on the water she was drinking and she spurted some of it out which startled Tucky and Finley.
"Princess, are you alright??" Tucky asked her and Finley handed her a towel while patting her back. Scarlet started coughing and tried to say that she was alright.
"I'm fine, I just randomly choked on this water, nothing to worry about, so this lady you were talking about? Please, continue." Scarlet uttered.
"You sure you're alright?" Finley asked and Scarlet nodded with a forced smile.
"Well, don't get me wrong but I met this lady----"
"Oooohh, Finley's got a girl!" Tucky started teasing after interrupting Finley.
"Oh stop it! It's not that. You see, I decided to explore the South and came across the village at the edge of a cliff. It was normal at first until this man subtly grabbed my money and ran away with it. I tried to go after him but I lost track until a lady came running pass me, telling me to follow her. I decided to run after her and turns out she was chasing the man who snatched my only money. I was about to get stabbed when she shoots an arrow decapitating the man! It was so impressive!"
Scarlet doesn't seem to be impressed at all. She even commented bitterly, "You've got to learn saving your own arse, you damsel in distress."
"Not you too. That's like the same comment she gave me off awhile back."
"Well, you better man up there, knight in not so shining armor." Tucky teased him. Finley just rolled his eyes and continued with his story, "Anyways, this lady was like no ordinary dweller out there. She really knew her way with her bow and arrow. Her skills were quite impeccable and I'm not even exaggerating. She told me that she was an expert-class archer. She really was something and I've been thinking..."
