“We did! I swear that we did, right?” one of them said and even asked for confirmation from the other one.
“Yes, we really did! They might have gotten out!” the third one said.
“We’re sorry but the they are lying. If we got out, do you see any chains around? they forgot to chain us up.” Raha uttered to the head of the soldiers.
“Shut up, you! Don’t go making fools out of us!” one of them defended.
“Oh, we’re not. You are the ones making fools out of yourselves.” Raha calmly said but she totally burned the two of them. I didn’t know that she was a badass like that.
The head or maybe their general or something got really angry towards them.
“You reckless buffoons! You can’t do anything right around here, can’t you?!” he said to them and gestured a hitting motion targeted at them.
“We’re sorry, master! It won’t happen again, Please don’t hurt us!” one of them cried out.
“Go on, let them out! Don’t you let them escape or it’ll be the end for the two of you.”
They opened the dungeon and chained us up again, then they usher us outside. I feel like this is the perfect time to escape but Scarlet gestured no with her head. It’s like I already understood what she was trying to say. Maybe she is planning something already, I don’t know but maybe this isn’t really the best way to escape after all.
We were then dragged to the new dungeon we were going to be in. When the soldiers seem to lead us to the king and the prince. I can’t help but worry about Scarlet. I know she is feeling so many things right now.
After few meters of walking we finally arrived to the throne. There sat the two of the most wicked people here in this kingdom, the king and his son, prince Demetrius. My eyes burned with rage as I saw them. Just remembering what they did to Scarlet and her family as well as to the rest of the kingdom makes my blood boil already.
“Well, well, if it isn’t my long, lost wife!” Prince Demetrius mockingly uttered.
“I am and will never be your wife.” Scarlet responded in a monotonous tone but I knew she was raging inside.
“You think you were going to last forever in whatever hiding place you were at, didn’t you? You really are pathetic, aren’t you?” the king said contemptuously at Scarlet.
I am quite enraged right now that I just want to break free from the chain and I just want to punch the both of them, or better yet, kick them in their crotches.
“Let them be, Finley. I know that they’ll soon rot out by themselves having such rotten hearts and souls.” Scarlet fiercely said.
“Oh wow, who is this? You have yourself a knight in shining armor now? Well, I wouldn’t be worried at all seeing him now! It’s like he’s going to snap at one bend!” Demetrius ridiculed. “Oh I know, just stay there and sit like a dog because no one wants you here.” the king added.
“Talk all you want, you nasty bastards, but all of us in this room knows, who’s not wanted in this world, I suggest you look at the mirror to find out who.” Raha savagely uttered.
“You imbecile! How dare you say that! Who even are you? You’re a nobody, clearly!” the prince said to her.
“Oh I know her, she’s that garbage that the Averies picked up before. Then they threw her back again in the dirt! Ha!” the king harshly remarked.
Scarlet couldn’t contain herself anymore and got really mad at what the king has just said.
“You really have no heart, don’t you?!” she said as she struggle to get out of the chain and smash the heck out of the two.
I looked at Raha and I can see that her cold heart turned even colder but I saw a tear was shed in her eye.
A minute later, a new set of soldiers came in again and they were holding Amos and Dudley who were struggling with the chains on their hands as well.
“Dudley! Amos!” Scarlet cried out as they were placed beside us.
“Oh how nice! A pity party for all of you! Well, as they say, the more the merrier, isn’t? the king remarked.
“What do you plan on doing here? Are you planning to end all of mankind? For what?? For yourselves? You think you’ll be happy when you have all the power to yourself but you’re wrong. That is false happiness and you are just going to suffer in the long run.” Scarlet said to them with much frustration.
“Oh shut up! You know nothing!” the king responded and smiled viciously.
“Please, let us go, please I beg you to let me go because my family needs me! You’ve got what you wanted so please let us go!” Dudley begged.
“Oh you think I’ll let you go that easily? What a fool! You’re just kidding yourself, I hope you know that.” the prince said to him.
“You heartless fools! Why don’t you let me go now? My hands are getting sore from the chains!” Amos suddenly uttered.
“Never! Nah, I am just fooling around, let him go now, and make it fast!” the king said.
The rest of us in chains were confused of what was happening.
“Are you actually letting us go now?” Dudley asked.
“Oh, don’t be silly. Of course not.” he said and smiled like a vicious frog.
Then the soldiers proceeded to let Amos go.
“What is the meaning of this? What is happening?” Scarlet asked.
“Oh, I’m sorry you guys! I was going to tell you but you know I didn’t.” Amos sarcastically remarked.
