"Oh, of course, of course! Any friend of Raha is welcome in our home. You should all come in so we could talk inside."
"Thank you, we appreciate it." I told her as we enter their humble home.
"Please, please sit down. I'm sorry it's a bit tight in here, it's quite small to accommodate many people." Lynnet told us. Upon entering, two small children, a boy and a girl who's running around in circles greeted us. On the far corner of the house, where there was a small bed, lies an old woman who looks like their grandmother, fast asleep.
"It's alright, really. Don't worry about it." I said.
"So, what do you want to talk about?"
"Well, we heard about what happened to your family four days ago although we don't know the full details." I started to say then I looked at Finley so he could tell them.
"You see, I was the one in the quest to deliver some potion to the village chief. It was a week ago, I was almost here in Draco but before I even got here, I was mugged by the men who troubled you four days ago. Thankfully, Scar here helped me and managed to save the potion as well. If they were able to steal that potion, then they might have done damage to more people." Finley explained. As I look beside me and Finley, Raha was gone until I heard her laugh and there I saw her with the kids. They're happily playing with her.
"That's why we asked the chief if they still caused any trouble to anybody and that's when we found out about your family. So, to cut the chase, we're here to check on you and we want to know if there's anything we could do to help your family, in any way at all." I genuinely stated.
"Wow, I don't know what to say, I...well, thank you for your kindness but you don't have to do anything at all. We're fine now, there's quite a number of people that's been knocking on our doors ever since the news about us spread out. Few kindhearted people like you has been helping us, especially Raha. Some people might have knocked on our doors, trying to deceive us, but there are more people with a pure heart and that's where our hearts are at. It's in the nature of most of the people in town to take advantage of people but we won't let that get to us. Still, we're being more cautious for our own safety." The woman truthfully expressed.
"That's really admirable; how you're keeping a positive attitude towards all of it. Only few people chooses to do that." I genuinely said to her.
"Could you tell us what those elephants did to you?" Finley suddenly asked.
~~~~~LYNNET'S FLASHBACK~~~~~
4 Days ago
"Vinny, Willy! I'll open the door, just wait for me. I told you, you shouldn't come opening the door by yourselves while you're not with me or your father, or grandma!" I shouted at my two children as I finish up in the toilet.
"Oh why aren't they even speaking up, it seems quiet already and the knocks on the door stopped. Whoever that was might have left already." I murmur to myself.
As I wipe my hands with towel after washing my hands, I immediately checked what happened and if the guests are still outside, and I am flustered with what came greeting me inside my home.
My two children is being held up against the wall by two huge men, with their other hands, covering their mouths! My kids are obviously very frightened and they're shedding tears, begging me through their eyes to come help them as soon as I saw them. My poor mother is tied on the bed, helpless and weak. One huge man on the corner is turning our small shack upside down trying to find something. I immediately hid behind a cushioned chair that was near me. It's best to not get their attention for they might hurt my family. I look around to find something that I could use as a weapon and luckily, behind me, there's an iron knife on the small counter that I can reach but with only the tip of my fingertips.
I almost grabbed it when I was frightened by the sound of the chair being banged on the wooden floor. And there I saw the huge, hefty man in front of me. His face was masked but I can see the intensity in his eyes as he looks at me.
I feel my heart race faster with fear. I pointed the knife at him with trembling hands as an attempt to scare him off but I'm so scared myself that there's just no point to it.
"Where is it?? Show me where the heck it is!!" the man shrieked with his deep voice.
"I...I don't know what on earth are you talking about, sire. Please don't hurt my family!"
"Tell me where is it or I'll cut all your heads off!!!!!" the man threatened.
a
"I honesty don't know what you are looking for, sire! Please spare us with your mercy, sire! Can't you see they're just children and my mother is already old and weak!! Please!" I begged them with all I can. And I can't help but burst out in tears right then and there.
"We don't care who you people are!! Just tell me where it is and we'll be on our way and if you don't want to then you'll be on your way...to your graves!!"
The man grabbed me by my chin and I just tremble and cry in fear as his grip feels tighter by the second.
"Please don't hurt us, I beg of you!" the man was about to slap me when the door bursts open and my husband came in with his working axe at hand. They all proceeded to a fight and I immediately went to get my children and my mother to one corner, trying to comfort them in the best way I can.
