“Tell us what exactly?” Scarlet asked again, and by her tone, you could tell that she was getting more furious.
“Well, you just had to let one of your best ones go, have you? You were all fools and I just can’t help but laugh but then I had to laugh internally but now I guess I can but I’ll do it later.” Amos mockingly said. I thought that he was always calm but right now I just want to tear his face up.
“You traitor!” I can’t help but yell out.
“Oh no, I thought Kasstin was already the traitor? You can’t just take that back.” he replied.
“I knew that Kasstin would never do anything like that to us. You are just a ruthless person much like everybody around here! We trusted you, Amos!” Scarlet remarked.
“Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to, oh wait a minute, I did mean to, I guess sorry not sorry!” he teased.
“Ha! I really like you, Soma! I guess I have to introduce you right now. Everybody, this is Soma Doshna. He is the best assassin in town and we hired her to actually kill you, princess. But then things happened and well I guess now, we’ll kill all of this kingdom and have you watch it, Scarlet. Isn’t that just a pleasure?” the king announced.
We all just glared and I know that we all are burning up inside with so much rage.
“This isn’t over.” Scarlet fiercely rebutted at them.
“Oh, I know this isn’t over, because we are just getting started.” the prince declared while smirking.
“Go on, guards! Let them rot in their dungeons. Go on and take them there, NOW!” the king commanded.
Tucky went every nook and corner of the kingdom to look for Kasstin. He didn’t know whom to ask for help anymore. Plus, he still has the feeling that Kasstin never did what all of them thought she did. So, following his intuition, he looked for her everywhere after Scarlet, Finley and Amos went to Draco to rescue the Simmons and were taking so long that he worried even more.
“Oh, where could that woman be??” Tucky told himself. He is out of breath and tired from all the finding he did. He already looked for her in Swindmore but she was not there. So, he is frustrated, exhausted, and anxious at the same time.
Well, he takes stops to rest for awhile in each village he goes to. Finally, he arrived in Tynewt where the demi-humans live. He has no idea where she could else be than Swindmore so he had to explore. Fortunately, after a lot of walking, being thirsty and tired, he miraculously bumped into Kasstin who was walking on the sidewalk in Tynewt.
“Kasstin!” he shouted at her while he is few meters away from her still. He called for her a bunch of times and when she finally noticed him, she then turned away from him in an attempt to avoid him. And with all Tucky’s might, he went to run as fast as he could, with his short legs and short arms, he ran like a cheetah even when he was exhausted and joint pains. He also kept on shouting.
It is a great thing that Kasstin wasn’t running away, well, just walking away. I say it is a good thing because Tucky will be able to catch her.
Tucky was getting nearer. Kasstin takes a glimpse at him and kept on walking. She also uttered, “Please, leave me alone. I am no longer part of your so called ‘party.’
“Kasstin, please just hear me out! We need your help! I need your help! Please! I walked all over the kingdom to find you! Please!” Tucky begged. Kasstin stopped walking, her head still away from Tucky. She cannot just ignore pleas of help, especially from a genuine soul like Tucky. She felt like something was really wrong.
A minute after, she finally decided to turn and look at Tucky.
“What’s—Tucky! what happened to you?!” she yelled out as soon as she saw Tucky. Tucky was heavily sweating, his arms and feet are blistered and wounded, and his face has turned red from exhaustion. He is even out of breath.
“I—” Tucky was about to talk but Kasstin interrupted him. “Before you tell me anything, you need to rest first and I need to help you with your blisters and wounds.
You need to drink some water or you’ll faint from dehydration. I know someone around here, it’s near here, let me take you there.“
Tucky didn’t resist as he also felt that he will pass out soon. They went ahead to Varan’s store and luckily, Varan just arrived in time to go back to his store. He saw the two and without doubt helped them immediately. They went in the store and Varan quickly got some water and some herbal leaves that can help Tucky.
“What happened to you, little one?” he gently asked Tucky.
“I was just walking around there when this man came running after me, asking for my help. He is a confidante of the princess, Varan. He was about to tell me why he’s here but when I saw him, I just wanted to help him first. Thank you for letting us in without any hesitation, you know, after what happened in here awhile ago.” Kasstin said to him.
“Of course, Kasstin. If someone’s in distress, I would help immediately, because helping is not limited to one color.” he replied. Kasstin smiled at him.
“So, what happened, Tucky? Is something so bad going on back there? Where is Finley and the princess?” Kasstin asked while he’s tending the blisters and the wounds of Tucky.
“There is an emergency! The Simmons were raided by the Creagan soldiers and some dark mages.”
“What?? We need to help them!” Kasstin cried out.
“Scarlet, Finley, and Amos immediately rushed to Draco to help protect the Simmons. That is why I knew we needed Kasstin’s help. I don’t even know what has happened to them already. The eyeball stopped working and I am just worried about them. They are taking too long over there and I can’t just go there by myself.
