Chapter 32

"Oh please, don't. You don't have to repay us. I told you that we went here to help in any way we can and that means we are not expecting anything back from you. We're just so glad that your family is safe. You're just a wonderful family and that's already a great gift you could return to the world's kindness to you." I genuinely stated to her. She unexpectedly hugged me and I just feel my heart melt over all this. I know going here wasn't any waste of time. Even just talking to them would you feel at home. I saw Finley approached us and then she faced Lynnet with his hand, holding a pouch, outstretched before her. He said, "Please, take this as well. You could use some of it to fix some of the holes in your roof and walls or use it with anything that could help you. I know most of the helps that's been coming in are about money, but I want you to know that this comes from our hearts. We sincerely want to give this to you especially that you are just a wonderful, loving family that you deserve it." "Oh, I cannot thank you enough, all of you. You have only met us now and yet you have generous, kind hearts that the world needs more right now. And to Raha, thank you for being there always. You're like a member of our family already, even back from years ago. I hope you know that. I know that we never told you before but I hope that you can feel it every time you're here." I saw Raha shed a tear and just acted like it didn't hit her at all. I'm just happy that she found the Simmons on her journey here. As we all talk here and there, we were all startled when the front door broke open. We were silent for a bit when Lynnet approached the man on the door. "Oh honey, I'm glad you're home. You're quite early today by the way. Anyways, we have some good news." Lynnet told him until Douglass barked and that's when he knew what she was talking about. "Oh Douglass! Oh come here boy! This is wonderful, honey! How did it happen?? And oh who are these people?" the man spoke. "It's a bit of a long story but first let me introduce them to you. We have here Finley and Scar. They're from the village and they're here to help us." Lynnet introduced. Then she started telling him everything. ********************** "Oh wow, that is so amazing! Thank you for everythi-- wait a second, you look familiar, milady. I mean your eyes, your unique white hair, it's just all peculiarly familiar to me like I've seen you many times before." The man said to me. I tried to fix my mask but nothing is wrong with it!! How could he recognize me that easily??! I mean I've only met him now. What will I say?? "I'm sorry, but I think we have just met right at this moment. I think it's the first time that I saw you and even your whole family. So, you're probably mistaken." I told him. "Oh that voice! It even sounds like someone I just can't point out. It's in the tip of my tongue!" "Oh stop it, Dudley Simmons! You're acting silly! Pay respect to our guests. You're acting like some kind of a creep. You've probably just mistaken her for someone. Just let it go and weren't you going to thank them??" Lynnet yelled at him. "Oh yeah, of course. Mi apologies to all of you. I'm sorry that came out all weird or something. I also want to thank you for what you've done to us today. You don't know how special that gift you gave us. It might not amount to any money or any material possessions but you gave us more than those things. You gave us back one of our family. For that, I'm-- Oh goodness!!" Dudley seem to genuinely express his gratitude until I don't know what on earth happened. "What?? What is it, Dudley?!" Lynnet asked him. "I'm terribly sorry for that but it just slipped at the tip of my tongue! I think I know who you remind me of!" he said it like a bulb just got lit in his head. I'm feeling more agitated with what he said. He might actually know and that would mean a lot of trouble. He might hand me over to the Creagan soldiers. The "king" has placed a reward for whoever finds and surrenders me to them. It is quite a large offer that no commoner or peasant could refuse. I grabbed one of Finley's hands and hold it tightly sending him a signal that we might be in trouble here. Raha entered the conversation and said, "Oh Dud, she probably just reminds her of someone you know but I think it might be a totally different person. I mean, she's even masked, how will you be able to actually tell, right?" "Yeah, I mean you're all probably right and I'm not against all that but if I tell you who she reminds me of, you might actually see it yourselves." He insisted. I gulped hard and tried to get out of it. "Just tell us who is it, Dudley. So you can get that out of your head already, for goodness' sake!" Lynnet urged him. "She reminds me of the princess! You know honey, that I've worked long in the castle as a soldier. That's why I do have a very distinct memory of the princess herself. I mean you might probably just have the same hair and eyes and voice but I mean, don't you see it, Lynnet??" "Oh merlin's mushrooms! You're right honey!"she screamed and turned to me saying, "You do have a resemblance to her features milady. Now that I realize it, it's quite uncanny."
