He looks like an angel while sleeping. I approached closer to him, and slowly tried to gently caress his face. ‘How did you manage to look so handsome still while you’re sleeping?’ I asked him in my head. You know, after awhile of getting to know him, I just really feel safe and warm when he’s around. I feel like it was the right thing to let him into my life out of a sudden. I laid my head on the bed near his face and I just couldn’t help but admire this man. Few minutes later, his eyes widely opened and silly that I am, I started screaming! I freaked out and it was just so embarrassing! Then seconds after I screamed, he also screamed and we were both screaming for a few seconds and the rest of the gang rushed into the room to see what was going on.

“What happened??” “Is everything alright??”

‘You heard loud screams that are obviously not shouts of joy and that’s what you ask? Is everything alright? Really? Are these people for real?’ my inner voice said. Well, this isn’t much of an emergency, well not for them anyways. This is quite an emergency for my embarrassment and now I don’t know what to say.

“Did you both saw a roach or something?” Amos asked with a little smirk on his face. Well, they seem to find this amusing. I just want the earth to devour me right now, at this very spot where I am standing.

“I’m sorry, Scarlet. I’m sorry I freaked you out. I didn’t know you were there and when you started screaming, I panicked which made me scream as well. We’re sorry everyone. Nothing happened here, no harm done or anything.” Finley stated.

‘Well no harm done for you but this might get stuck in my head again for the rest of the day.’ I said in my head. Finley might be thinking right now how much of a freak I am. He might think that I was creepily watching him sleep. Well, I was sort of watching him but it’s nothing creepy, I swear.

“Yeah, I’m sorry Finley. I’m sorry everyone. I was just stunned when Finely opened his eyes when I was about to wake him up.

“You were just about to wake him up? You’ve been there for quite a while now.” Kasstin pointed out. Well, thank you for such a helpful question, Kasstin. Great, now what would I tell them? That I was like a creepy lad watching people sleep?

“Oh no, I just got here, I went to the restroom first.” I reasoned out.

“Were you? Or were you enjoying staring at his beautiful face?” Varan suddenly teased.

“No! I wasn’t, I promise!” I defensively replied. Then, I turned to Finley trying to convince him that I wasn’t. He was smiling! Oh no, I don’t know what I’ve gotten myself into. Suddenly, he held my shoulders trying to calm me down and assuring me that all is well.

“It’s alright, Scarlet, I believe you, don’t worry. Alright, everyone, moment’s over. Let’s all let this go already. Go easy on Scarlet. Okay? Okay.” he announces and everyone left. I glanced over at Kasstin and she didn’t seem pleased and was actually quiet the whole time.

FINLEY’S POV

‘Oh, what time is it?’ I asked myself as I finally woken up from the sleep that felt like I had just started. Last night was exhausting. I couldn’t sleep that I even reached the early signs of morning. After awhile, I saw Scarlet approaching the room. I didn’t know how to face her, so I closed my eyes again and pretended to sleep some more, like I haven’t actually woken up. I’m not even sure is she’s really headed here. For all I know, she could be headed to the restroom.

Then, I heard footsteps. Was it hers? Then the footsteps stopped but I can feel a presence in front of me. Was is it really Scarlet? Few moments of silence makes me think if I can open my eyes already when I felt the softest hand touch me in the face, slowly caressing it. Oh, I’m so glad my pimples went away last week.

With the caressing and the smell of vanilla, I know that this is Scarlet for sure and I just feel all these butterflies chaotically dancing while they’re flying in my stomach. I can’t believe she’s actually here in front of me. I can feel her breath touches my face and that’s when I knew that she might be watching me. It was quite a moment but I suddenly remember our quest this morning that my panicky self suddenly jerked at the perfect moment. I widely opened my eyes and there she was. It really was her and I get to open my eyes, seeing her first upon waking up. A dream I have still now. But then she freaked out and started screaming. No! Why are you screaming?? I panicked until I started screaming. When everybody asked us, Scarlet seem to be getting defensive. Oh, she’s such a darling! She’s so cute trying to lie about what she did. I could just fit her in my pocket and just take her with me, so we could be alone together.

SCARLET’S POV

My head’s still on about what happened earlier. It is embarrassing but I have to take my mind off of it for now. We have a mission to accomplish and it is the top priority for now. I have to really focus on what matters most now.

“Alright, everyone. Are you all ready to go?” Varan asked and we all agreed and headed out the door. So, as planned, we are going back to Draco to talk to the Simmons. We rode Kasstin’s dragon to get there faster. Glad the dragon is massive that it was able to fit every one of us. On the ride, Kasstin was in front of me and she has her arms wrapped around Finley as if they were very close.
