Gianna. The next morning, I woke up feeling surprisingly… okay. No headache. No dizziness. No weird dreams. Just sunlight slipping through my curtains like nothing ever happened. After a quick shower, I got dressed and headed to campus. Maybe today will finally feel normal again. Rue and Cassie were already waiting by the fountain when I got there. “What happened? We didn’t see you again yesterday,” Cassie asked, eyeing me. “Yeah, I passed out,” I said simply. “What?!” they both chorused. Rue’s eyes widened. “Did you have something to drink or—” “Nope. Just out of the blue. But I’m okay,” I said with a small smile. Cassie opened her mouth to respond, but a sudden scream cut through the air from somewhere behind us. “What the hell?” Rue said, already turning toward the noise.
