2. A New Home

Kayla looks around as Jayden opens the door and the first person she spots is Carsen "Cici!" she shrieks.

Carson spins to the side only one person was allowed to call him that. 'Thank you Moon Goddess for bringing her home' he thinks before dashing over and pulling her out of Jayden's arms "I didn't think I'd ever see you again, it's been so long we thought you were gone" he notices the torn look on Jayden's face. "I'm going to hand you back to Jayden so he can get you to Jane. I smell blood that needs taken care of quickly, I'll get the rest of the pack together to see you're okay" he says before handing her back.

"The pack can wait till she's eaten and sleeps. It's late and instead of sleeping she got a bad feeling to leave and ran, that's when I found her. You could see if Mom's up so she'd got a fresh hot meal after she sees Jane and gets a shower. She's had a rough year and an even harder night. I can explain it later if she'd let me" he looks down to her and nods.

"You can explain to Cici and the rest of the pack. When I told you it was the first time I'd admitted any of it out loud. Not even to Mama or Daddy. But the pack deserves to know what happened, how you found me and everything I sobbed explaining" she says softly.

"As long as you're okay with me sharing. I want you to feel comfortable with those big things that come with big emotions. If you can't handle the emotions they cause you that's perfectly okay I won't make you talk about it" he says.

She nods "I need you to explain to them when I'm not in the room so I don't start crying uncontrollably like earlier" she says resting her head on his shoulder. Her stomach growls again for what feels like the billionth time today. Carson had already gone in search of Jaydens's mom while Jayden headed towards the infirmary.

"Jane, are you in here?" He asked as he opened the large door. Jane comes out of the back covered in blood.

"What can I do for ya Alpha?" She asks as she pulls off the surgery cover she had on and disposing of it. She sees Kayla and smiles "well who do we have here" she says.

"Kayla, Kayla Moonstone"' she responds. She wasn't sure about this person after all she came out COVERED in blood.

"Would you look at that, the lost heir is in my office, let's get you looked over then I can get some of my daughters clothes for you." She says.

"Why were you covered in blood?" She asks. Jayden set her down on the medical table.

"Well sweetheart, there were 2 people that were found today in critical condition. I've spent all day doing bandage changes, keeping them alive and stable. When a scab rips off with the bandage it can get pretty messy. With how badly they were hurt it's a miracle that they're still alive even if they're unconscious." She explains

Kayla frowns at the thought of someone going through that. "Is that what's gonna happen to my knees when I change the bandages?" She asks.

"You've stopped bleeding already, we'll clean it up, put antibiotic ointment on it so it doesn't dry out, crack and rip off like that." Jayden says, setting her down on the exam table.

Kayla unwraps herself from her blanket and looks down at her knees. She frowns seeing how dirty and ruined her pants are.

After Jane gets her all cleaned up they go upstairs and get her a few outfits before parting ways. Jay takes her upstairs into his room and heads towards the bathroom.
