3. A Big Big Room

Kayla looks around the room wide eyed "it-its huge in here!" He chuckles.

"Yeah I guess it is, I don't actually spend a whole lot of time here though. I'm usually working on pack stuff in my office" he says. Pointing towards a door across the room.

"It makes the cave look tiny" she says, her eyes watering again. He puts a hand on her head holding her close.

"It may be a big room and a big house, but the size isn't what matters, the people are what makes it home" he says. He sets her down on the counter in the bathroom and opens the cabinet pulling out a bunch of options. "Alright we've got 5 different scents for body wash, 3 shampoo and conditioner options, and 5 different tooth brush options"

Her eyes widened looking at everything he pulled out. "isn't your Mate going to be mad that you're giving me her thing's?" She asked.

Jay doubled over laughing at this small kid asking about his mate being mad when she is in fact his mate. Knowing he can't tell her the truth that she is his mate he says "That would require there be a mate to get mad."

Her eyes widened "but if you don't have a mate why do you have all these?" She asks genuinely confused.

Jay smiles "when I first became alpha a couple months ago my mom told me I needed to keep some options stocked in the cabinet so that when I DO find my mate, she can pick from any of these options until we go on a shopping spree to get her what she needs or wants. Seeing as I was the one who found you, lost, hurt and alone in the woods, I'd be a real mean Alpha if I DIDN'T make sure you got everything you needed. We WILL find your parents, until then I'll be here giving you everything" he says.

Her eyes are wide. "Your mom is smart, that sounds like something my mom would do too." She says before looking at her options. She quickly grabs the purple toothbrush, lavender chamomile body wash and the shampoo and conditioner for curly hair. "I wouldn't think you'd be a mean alpha if you didn't make sure I had everything. The first thing you did was take me to the Dr to get checked out".

He smiles at her words "well I'm glad you think I'm not a mean Alpha. Let's get you all cleaned up, do you want a bath or a shower?" He asks her. She thinks for a moment before pointing to the big jetted bathtub. He chuckles, pulling out an Epsom salt bag that matches her body wash. "It's got jets so we gotta be careful not to use too much body wash and make it bubble over okay?" He says as he starts the water and pours in some of the Epsom salt. Once it's to a good level for her and not too hot he turns it off and steps back "I'm gonna let you get washed up then we'll go get some food when you're done okay? My mom's probably cooking us something fresh right now." He says as he lifts her off the counter. He puts a towel next to the tub with a rag for her body wash. "If you need help I'll be right over in the room okay?"

Kayla nods "okay" she says. Once he's left the room and shut the door leaving it cracked Incase she needs help she starts to undress. She frowns at her now ruined pants and her favorite shirt being ripped, covered in dirt and blood. She climbs into the bathtub feeling the jet tickle her ankle as she did. She wasn't sure what to think of the bath. It was huge and it could swallow her whole, If it wasn't left half full it would cover her head. She sat enjoying the warm water before she started to clean up. When she was done she pulled the plug and climbed out wrapping herself in the very big fluffy towel he'd left for her. She looked at the full length mirror on the closet door and noticed how different she looked since the last time she'd looked in a mirror. Her cheeks had sunk, losing all her "baby fat" after a year fending for themselves in the woods. They were lucky to find a large animal once a month but her parents were thorough. They made extra sure they weren't taking away a mom from her young babies and it was usually Mama's they found.
