By the time seven-thirty rolled around, she’d recovered enough of herself to act natural during the outing to Main Stage. At least, Autumn was pretty sure that Michael didn’t notice anything off about her, and neither did Tyler or Sarah. And the band was loud and danceable, so their little group spent a good deal of the evening out on the dance floor, which meant Autumn could lose herself in the music and the movements of her body, and try to tell herself that this was enough, that being here with Michael and her friends was enough, even if it might not be the reality she’d hoped for.
