There was a flurry of activity at the shop early in the day on Monday, probably because people were trying to get their shopping done before they got on the road and headed home after the long holiday weekend. After Rachel and Autumn took a quick lunch break, however, Rachel told Autumn she was going to duck out for a bit.
“I didn’t have time to get to the grocery store over the weekend because it was so busy here,” she said. “But now we’re running low on a few things, and I really need to get in there. I suppose I could go after we close, but I’d rather go now if I could so I can get dinner started earlier.”
