Chapter Six

Leira was shocked at how quickly he undressed. He had been fully clothed, and then ten seconds later, he was as bare as when he was born. The duke was then on her moments later, pulling her into his arms and pressing his lips to her neck. His drink was on the floor, spilled, and forgotten. “Do you know how long I’ve waited for this?” he mumbled into her skin. She was speechless as he guided them to the bed, where he gently laid her down on her back. He then climbed on top of her, kissing her lips hungrily. Running his fingers up her leg and under her chemise, he squeezed her breasts, catching her by surprise. The instant that she opened her lips, his tongue entered her mouth, clashing with her own. He sucked on her lower lip, and she felt his manhood grow in size and become harder. Out of instinct, she closed her eyes tightly and waited for him to do his part. “Why are you doing that?” he asked, confused. She opened one eye and squinted at him. “What do you mean?” He poked her scrunched up forehead until she relaxed and let it smooth out. “That,” he clarified. “Why did you do that?” Leira felt her face flush. She didn’t think she’d need to explain to him how things worked, especially after his promiscuous behavior. “Uh, this is, um, the part where you…you know…” she scrambled. He smirked at her. “Yes, I’m aware of that. But why did you make that face?” “I don’t understand why you’re asking me this. I know what’s to come next. I’m, well, just trying to prepare myself.” “You look like you don’t want to do this.” Leira found herself at a loss. That was precisely how she felt. The sooner they could get it over, the happier she’d be. “Well…” she started, wondering how to explain she just wanted him to hurry up and get the deed over with. He frowned at her. “Have–have you never enjoyed intimacy before?” She watched as he pulled back and sat up on his knees. “Enjoyed?” The duke’s eyes widened in horror and sympathy. “That fat, f*****g prick,” he then spat. “That ugly, useless piece of dung never pleased you, did he?” “Pleased me? I’m sorry. I’m not following you.” He then grinned at her mischievously, his sudden outburst forgotten. “Why are you looking at me like that?” she asked him, suddenly worried and scooting away from him. “This is going to be so much fun. In fact, maybe it’s better this way,” he teased, grasping onto her wrist and pulling her back towards him. He then adjusted himself into a sitting position, situated her in his lap, raised one of her hands to reach behind his neck, and spread her legs. “Hey, wait!” she called out, trying to stop him and attempting to close her legs. “Trust me,” he seductively whispered into her ear, sending shivers down her spine. “You’re going to want to keep them open.” He pressed his lips just under her ear and lightly trailed his fingers down her shoulder to her arm to her thigh. He hiked up her nightgown, revealing her own private area, and as his eyes feasted on her, she felt him grow harder once again. He took two fingers and dipped them into her. She sucked in a breath, her fingernails digging into his neck. “Hey! T-that that…,” she protested. His hot lips sucked on her neck, and as he began to slowly stroke her, she let out a moan involuntarily. She had never felt anything like this before. It felt incredible. She quickly became wet, covering his fingers. She didn’t even understand her own body. As his fingers worked her, going faster and faster, she felt a building pressure within her until it crescendoed into a blinding release. She panted into his ear as he bent his head to kiss her shoulder. “Now that was the sexiest thing I have ever seen,” he breathed. “W-what was that?” The duke smiled at her. “That is what being intimate is supposed to feel like.” Without letting her get a chance to reply, he flipped their positions to resemble how they first started the night. He slipped the dress off of her, sliding it down her body and unashamedly staring at her curves. She had the urge to cover herself, but he trapped both of her hands in his and held them against the pillow above her head. “Don’t,” he pleaded. “Don’t hide from me. You’re too perfect to cover up.” His eyes raked over her nakedness, and though she felt somewhat uncomfortable, she didn’t hate it as much as she had when her ex-husband had looked at her. He was kissing her before her thoughts could take her away from the moment. His hand swept over her wetness, making her gasp. “Yes, god yes. I could listen to you make those noises for the rest of my life and still not get enough.” He then wiped her wetness onto his member, coating it. Next, he used his fingers to begin building up the pressure within her once more, and when he stopped, she felt longing for his fingers to return. “Ready?” he asked, kissing her hard. Leira nodded, and then she felt him slowly enter her. Her eyes widened as his girth slid along her, which inadvertently tightened against him. The viscount hadn’t been this big. She didn’t know they could be bigger. “Damn, woman. If you keep that up I won’t be able to last long,” he muttered. “Do what?” she asked in an innocent voice. He only gave her a sly smile and a shake of his head as he began moving his hips back and forth. The pressure that she’d been missing flooded her senses moments later. His lips were on her lips, her neck, her breasts. Her hands were touching his shoulders, his chest, his neck, until they wound themselves in his hair. She panted and gasped in his ear as her back arched with each thrust of his hips. Not being able to take it any longer, she climaxed, letting out a pleased moan. He grunted a few thrusts later, emptying himself in her and panting hard. After pulling out he kissed her lips hard. “If anyone asked, I lasted much longer than this.” She gave him a confused look as he chuckled. He kissed her again, cupping her cheek with his hand. “You are so beautiful. Do you know that?” She offered him a small smile as she shook her head. “Ah-ha!” he shouted with glee. “There it is! My first smile from you. How honored I am. This day shall go down in history as the first of, hopefully many, smiles from my wife.” He grinned at her like a child getting his favorite toy. “But really. Your beauty easily surpasses all others.” Losing her smile, she frowned at him. “I don’t appreciate being teased in such a manner.” “I’m not teasing,” he quietly contradicted. ‘I’ve seen just a fraction of the beautiful women you’ve been reported to be with, and I’m sure they’re way prettier in person than in the papers. I know how I look to others, so please don’t patronize me.” Placing a hand on her chin, he tilted her head to face his. “I would never do that. I’m being completely honest. None of them compare to you. Besides, they meant nothing.” Leira was aghast. “How can you be so blase? To just use another person and toss them aside? I mean, the papers alluded to you being a rake, but I–” “What exactly do you think of your new husband, Leira?” he asked coldly, folding his arms across his chest. “You seem to have quite the opinion from the papers. I didn’t realize you were so keen on believing everything that’s been printed.” She bristled. “What does it matter?” “Well, it seems to me that you think that because I used all those women, as you put it, that I’ll do the same to you. What? Tonight was just another one night stand? Do you want me to use you? To treat you like a commodity? Like you’re worthless?” Tears pricked at her eyes. She hadn’t thought any of that, but now she felt like that certainly could be the case. He was being so cold and distant after being so warm and open. Her worth was tied to producing an heir, and since she hadn’t been able to do that, she was worthless in everyone’s eyes. To think she had been so forward with her thoughts with this man who could so easily throw her out if he was displeased with her. “Hey,” he cooed softly, wiping a tear that had escaped off her cheek. “I apologize for bringing up your past with those women. I should have never crossed that line,” she whispered, doing her best to hold in her sobs. “Leira,” he began gently. “Those women mean nothing to me, not because I don’t value them as people, but because I have you. Despite what you may have heard, I never slept with any of them. King Gerville needed the papers to focus on a scandal, so I gave them one. I want you, and I’ll only be satisfied with you, especially if my nights look like tonight. I married you, Leira. I want you and no one else.” She was lost for words. He had been so open and vulnerable with her, revealing information that he hadn’t needed to, especially after she had accused him of being promiscuous. Almost everything about him was different than what she expected. She had already painted the type of man he was supposed to be in her mind, and yet, he was defying her expectation. Leira wasn’t entirely sure what to do with this new husband of hers. He gave her mischievous smile and shook his head, bringing her lips to his.
