Chapter 19 Miranda
Oh gosh, no please, is what I think when Kim tells us what’s going on in short. Just as I am enjoying my reading, someone is burgling our place. I really do not feel like this at the moment. Suddenly I realise that this time, I am involved in something really exciting. That’s not something I encounter every day. Usually, I only see about that on television or I read about it in the newspaper.
With a sudden surge of activeness I jump up and urge the others to hurry up as well. Veronique is still in her sputtering phase. ‘This way I’ll never find a good looking hunk’, she grumbles. ‘Isn’t it possible for Jessica and Miranda to go, so we can stay here nice and cosy?’ she tries in an attempt to buy her way out of it.
