The next morning, before going to work, I went to the pharmacy to ask for the morning after pill. Then I stopped in a coffee shop to have breakfast and I took it. I read all the contraindications and hoped I would not be nauseous.
When I reached the Wayford it was dead calm. Almost no one was around.
I walked towards the lift and I saw that there was only one person waiting for it. From far away and behind, I didn’t recognize him... but when I was closer I understood who he was, “Dean?” I said, as if I was surprised to see him there. What a fool. We worked in the same building.
“Jules! Hey hello,” he said turning.
“Hello. Are you about to start working?”
