The morning after Rachel called doctor Paulson and got an appointment for that afternoon. I promised her to go with her. I sent a text to Dean to tell him that in a bit we were going to know the truth and I reassured to call him as soon as I knew something. I calmed him down telling him that I was going to inform him right away.
I spent the morning in my office, distracted. My mind was constantly to Rachel and what she was going through, how she must have felt alone, confused and scared.
When it was 4pm, I got out of my office and went back home to get Rachel. We went to doctor Paulson’s office that was not far away from Central Park.
