Episode 3

"Do you think you can easily marry my only son just like that?"

All of us who were still in the medical room were equally surprised by the arrival of King Xerxes Darkthistle Nightfall, Danielle's father.

King Xerxes came accompanied by his two aides and approached me, who was still in the patient's bed. We all fell silent due to King Xerxes' unpleasant expression.

I already knew from the way he looked at me cynically. He hated that I was here.

"You are Diane Ashenheart, the Omega witch who should have died today because of great sin," he said loudly in front of my face.

"Who allowed this cursed Omega to be here in my palace? You could bring disaster upon us!"

"Darling! She is our savior! Dozens of Alphas who were already dead came back to life thanks to her power! The Nightfall Kingdom needs her!"

A heated argument ensued between Queen Valeria and King Nightfall, debating my presence.

Queen Valeria tried to protect me from her husband, who was about to act violently. Their argument continued, creating chaos in the medical room.

Danielle stood by my side, but he could only remain silent. He seemed unwilling to get involved in this issue. And it all affected King Xerxes, who eventually called several royal soldiers to take me to the underground chamber.

"No, this can't be! As the King of Nightfall, I will not let an Omega witch like her roam in my kingdom! Take her to the underground prison now!"

"Darling, no! Stop all of this!"

Panic reached its peak as two royal soldiers forcibly and roughly dragged me away. The most panicked person in this situation was Queen Valeria; she couldn't accept seeing me being taken away like a slave about to be hanged.

"Let go of me! Can't you see Queen Valeria as a witness to my powers? I'm not a witch! Let me go!"

All my rebellious attempts were in vain. In the end, I was once again labeled as the feared Omega witch.

‘What should I do? If I die, then the baby inside me will die too. Father, mother, what should I do? I don't want your efforts to go to waste ...’

This world is on the verge of destruction. More precisely, since a deadly biological weapon arrived from the future, it has been predicted that all of humanity would die instantly.

From inside this underground prison, I heard Danielle's speech as the leader of the White Colony forces, an organization formed by the Nightfall Kingdom to destroy biological weapons.

"The time is running out. Many Alphas from our bloodline have already died. We must urgently search for the biological weapon," said Danielle, his voice audible from afar.

Meanwhile, I could only sit silently in this prison, unable to do anything.

If only Danielle had helped me earlier, I would have told him that my parents had created a device to destroy the biological weapon.

‘Unfortunately, he chosed to remain silent and had me imprisoned here,’ I muttered to myself.

"Psst! Diane! It's me!"

My attention was instantly diverted when my ears caught a familiar voice. I turned my head forward and found an Omega standing in front of my prison cell.

"Snowie?!" I couldn't believe my own eyes. "What are you doing here!? Are you trying to get yourself killed!?"

"Shh!" That short-haired Omega covered my mouth with her hand. "I came here to tell you something!"

"Huh? What is it?" I asked, bewildered. Snowie was my childhood friend; she should be in our village right now.

How could she enter the Nightfall Kingdom unnoticed?

"Your parents are still alive!" she whispered, afraid of being overheard by the guards. "I overheard a secret conversation from one of the Black Colony members. They said you should become Danielle's fated mate and then kill him!"

"What?" I couldn't believe it. "What does it all mean, Snowie?"

"I don't understand either!" Snowie replied, equally surprised. "They also mentioned that Danielle had died ten years ago! He’s now a living corpse!"

"D-danielle already dead? Him? How could the prince who is about to be crowned king actually have died 10 years ago?" I said, shivered upon hearing it.

"I still don’t get it!" she said it again. "But they mentioned that you have to become his fated mate and then kill him. They also want you to secretly obtain Danielle's sperm because they will create a clone! They will seize the Nightfall Kingdom's throne with that clone!"

I fell silent just by that.

Black Colony? That’s a very secret organization with different goals from Danielle's White Colony!

While the White Colony aimed to save the world by destroying mysterious biological weapons, the Black Colony had the opposite intention. They wanted to seize the biological weapon to trigger the Third Alpha World War.

‘How did my parents get involved with such a dangerous organization? Black Colony is a group of ruthless Alphas!’ I thought to myself.

"So … Black Colony gave me the mission to kill Danielle to save my parents?" I asked Snowie from behind the prison bars.

She nodded. "You have a secret power, don't you? Use it to kill Danielle today!"

Snowie continued, "Don't forget, Diane. Take Danielle's sperm once you've killed him. Black Colony wants to seize the power of the White Colony with it."

I had never felt so scared before. I sat silently in this prison, contemplating the impromptu mission Snowie had given me.

There were too many things I didn't understand, and my head started to ache. ‘Danielle is a dead Alpha? Does Black Colony want to kill him? Create a clone? Why was such a massive mission given to me?’

*Klang!*

Both of us were startled when suddenly the sound of the prison door opening came from outside. Seemed that Danielle come to meet me.

“Hey! Go hide somewhere!”

I quickly urged Snowie to leave so that our meeting wouldn't be discovered.

"Diane Ashenheart, stand up from there and come with me. I have a first mission for you."

Danielle arrived with three other royal soldiers and immediately said something I didn't understand. Not only that, they removed the shackles from my hands and led me out of this underground prison.

I walked alongside Danielle, escorted by two Alphas behind me. When I felt that he was taking me somewhere, I finally gathered the courage to ask.

"What do you want me to do?" I asked, trying to remain as calm as possible.

"You can see the future, right?" He walked beside me and suddenly asked like that.

I remained silent. He didn't know I was lying. I simply nodded my head in response.

"If that's the case, prove it. Ahead, Nightfall Kingdom is under attack by a mysterious Alpha colony with magical powers. If you truly can see the future, help me defeat them."

Danielle glanced at me briefly, then returned to his cold demeanor. "If you succeed in helping me this time, I will save you from the death penalty. You know? My father was going to kill you today. But everything can change if you help me win against that Alpha colony."
