What a child could never understand was the role of parents in their life. From their perspective, parents were always at the wrong side. They thought that we imposed useless strict rules to invade their precious privacy. They named our care as overprotectiveness and our worry as overthinking.
Well whom are we blaming? Aren't we all in their shoes once.
We did the same thing with our parents. And they would simply say, "become a parents, then only you will know our side of stories."
Indeed you will realise it once you are in their shoes.
And now as you are the parent, it's your job to be the mature one when your child turns out to be a rebel.
