CHAPTER:- 13

Ishita's Pov The alarm started to ring, and i put my hand on the top, and slapped it. Aah... The sound was like a little kid crying and it was continuously making me irritated. Then the realisation hit me hard. Yeah, I realized that the peace is over now. I woke up and checked the calender in hope, only to get it shattered in the next second. Not a holiday it was! Aah... Again came the dreadful day - Monday. I don't know why people are not removing this day from the calender? And yeah, when I am telling to remove it, please somebody give a permanent removal to it. "And then Tuesday will be the worldwide first working day and you lazy brat will keep cursing it to be removed again." My inner soul mocked me and I groaned in irritation. Like again, you have to wait for six long days, and when I said long I meant it. They are longer than the river of sss. And when you wait this much to get a break from the busy schedule  there will be only one holiday - Sunday, which passed out like a sand particle in the tornado or like in a blink of eyes. "Nevertheless remove all the working days. I am happy with only one day in a week. It should be Sunday only." I shouted at no where particular and went inside the bathroom to freshen up. After completing my morning chorus, I started to get ready myself for the office within the required time. I moved fast from one room to another, from kitchen to bathroom, or bedroom to the drawing room like everyday. The same story of the morning everyday, except the Sunday which does not last long. Anyways I packed my stuff and pulled out the grilled sandwich from the toaster. Putting it on the dining table, I collected my belongings. The backpack was hung over my shoulder. I carried the sandwich on my left hand and tried to lock the door of apartment with my right hand. And, I failed. I put the sandwich in between my upper and lower lips and tried again. This time the door was successfully locked. Finally, Mission accomplished! I took the sandwich out of my lips and  walked in the corridor towards the elevator. Well, my apartment was on 25th floor. And I guess it's a fair reason to take the elevator in these busy days. Thankfully I got space in the already packed elevator. I adjusted myself maintaining few inches distance around the others in the elevator. The problem was people loved to interrupt my privacy. Whether by peeking at my phone or making disgusting face at my sandwich. They had to do something, showing their clear displeasure. But, I was well aware of their displeased attitude towards me. It's just that they couldn't accept the fact that I am living here alone. It does not matter to them that, I was able to pay the rent without taking my father's help. In this big city, I was making my own identity. I had ambitions and high dreams. I was self independent. No, nothing mattered to them. Except for the fact that, I was a girl. So if I am staying alone, then I am a certified characterless spoiled brat. Yes, you will find such nosy people here in the biggest IT hub of India too. And I had no problem with it, because I never cared about their unnecessary opinion on me. Come on... I knew myself better than others. Well, Bangalore always have a busy morning. The offices regularly starts from 10 AM. But people have to hurry, and get out of the comfort and get ready little early, but all thanks to the famous traffic of the city. You must add at least extra 15-20 minutes to your time travel for the traffic. And some people had to find extra ten to fifteen minutes for their never ending gossips. The elevator finally stopped. And I had the last bite of sandwich left on my hand. I took it all at once, and walked towards the road. Unknowingly I turned a little and peeked my reflection at the car mirror , which was parked on the road side. I was wearing a ice blue coloured jeans matching with a Plain black kurti. My hair were braided, though today, I have left some strands on my face. I hope I am not looking as bad as the last Saturday. Wait a minute, why am I so concerned about what he thinks about me! I had always been criticized for my lack of fashion sense. But I never really cared. It never mattered for me. Then what changed today? Whatever it is, It should be stopped here.  I firmly told to myself and tried to distract my mind from the current thoughts. So I decided to resize my hair and i tucked those fallen hair strands behind my ear. Taking fast steps, I reached near the local bus stop. To my extreme luck, I got a window seat. Honestly the only thing I preferred in a bus is window seat. No I am not a wanderer, who loves to explore, but yeah, I was a claustrophobic. Now, I have recovered from the fear a little. Still window seat was the safest option for me. I moved inside the bus and sit in the window seat. The bus started to move. The traffic signals and busy roads are irritating. It's not about just irritating but it's like i feel sick out of free air. It's like i feel exhausted for a while. Finally, the bus crossed the busy streets and huge traffic line. The signal turned green and I saw time to be sharp 9 in my wrist watch. And the side trees started moving fast as the bus got it's rated speed. Shhh! Now I can breath peacefully and take some fresh air from the outside. The slow breeze started to hit my face gently, and my hair was dancing with the tune of nature. The best part of the journey is this, and the benefit of finding a window seat. The nature is the best healer, it has set everything in it's own place. But sadly things are being ruined by the moving world these days. The road losing trees and natural beauty and are being replaced with these sky touching buildings, and apartment. Anyways, it's not my concern solely, at least not right now, I took a deep breath, and had a look at my wrist watch. A few minutes more and my destination will come. The bus ticket collector started to to collect the tickets one by one. He came towards me, and I was holding the ticket so I move my hand to pay him. I paid the ticket to collector and checked all my belongings. I was always a very aware of not forgetting my belongings in the bus or in any journey. So I always check everything and make sure that I am not forgetting my things. The bus mic started to call my destination. The smart bus in the city are now equipped with digital things and become much easier, and helpful to the passengers. The door automatically opened, and I left the bus along with few other employees. The huge entrance was crowded, as people have started to come to office. Everyone were either in a pair or in a group. Nobody was alone, except me. I moved my step towards the elevator and entered inside. I was about to press the button to my floor, when a voice stopped me. "Arey, someone stop the elevator. I will be late." And here comes the great Aahan Choudhry. He considered him as the king and everyone here are his servants, ready to serve his each command. I glared in his way and decided to pressed the floor number. But something stopped me from inside. And decided to I wait for him. And he came, running like a mad bull. And now breathing out warm air. His formal shirt was half tucked in an informal way. Such a brat! "Thank you." He muttered and then his eyes matched mine. "Oh, Ishita! Hi. You helped me again. Haha!" "Unfortunately." I muttered before pressing the floor number. I worked in 12th floor as the advertising head of my company. On last Saturday, I had to take the interview on the 5th floor. I felt Aahan's gaze on me. I turned towards him and matched his gaze. He looked at the other side. "Good morning." I wished. He grinned towards me. "Thank God. You got some manners." "Don't tease me now. It's not my fault that I am an introvert." I replied. "Oh, Come on. It's definitely not your fault. You just didn't get a good company to be brought out of your shell." He said, and the elevator stopped. He gave me the space and I moved out but didn't take further steps. I waited for him to come out. "Someone is trained with manners in one day, I see." He again teased me. I glared at him. "If you will utter one more word, I will fire you straight away on the first day of your work only." I tried to act stern, but he laughed out loud and I ended up laughing with him too. "So you will take advantage of being my boss, Huh?" He playfully asked. "Obviously. After all, It's a feast to torture Aahan Choudhry as his boss, isn't it?" I too asked in same playful manner. "Alright. I loose. Come on, let's move." I nodded at him. Both of us moved towards our cubicle. "Aahan! There will be a meeting today. You and the other hired employees will be assigned group leaders and projects. Okay?" I informed him. He nodded with a smile and I went towards my cubicle. Entering inside, I got busy with the new project. Half an hour passed quickly. I realised the time, hearing a knock on my door. "Yes. Come in." I said, still looking at the screen in front of me. "Mam! You are called for the meeting arranged with the new employees." The peon informed me and I nodded. "I am going." I said, and he went out closing the door. Adjusting my hair a little, I moved out and made my way towards the conference room. There were everyone already seated. I grabbed a seat among them and waited for the meeting to started. Aahan came inside and soon all of us got engrossed in talking about the company and it's betterment. After discussions, everyone was assigned to their respective jobs and responsibilities to take forward the legacy of the company. And the good thing that happened there was - I became the team leader of Aahan. "What's good in this? " I paused my mind for a while to rethink but I didn't got any answers rather some new excitements and high heartbeat rate in myself. I don't know but These days, i find myself in a happy mood whenever I find myself around him. I could understand the changes in me, but I was not ready to agree with my heart because each time i tried to figure it out, I found myself being engulfed with new complications in my mind. But the present thing made me happy. A little smile rolled over my lips, as soon as i heard the team and their leaders. I smiled and looked around Aahan, but he has fixed his gaze towards the speaker announcing about the allocations. He was looking like a innocent kid. He suddenly looked towards me realizing that i am going to be his leader, and i suddenly moved my gaze as soon as his eyes fell on mine, and I left a shy smile but i managed to get back to a formal look in my face as i didn't want to let him know any soon. But i was happy from the inside, that  Now I can see him with out any issues. To be continued...
