Eun-Ae
The crackling of the makeshift fireplace held my focus. Why the hell did he bring me here? Was he really going to keep me like he said he would? I just need to gain a bit more strength before I even think about taking Jung on.
Hell a hundred years in the ground will stiffen my joints. My muscles were small and not used to being used as much as before.
I clenched my fist and tried to drown out the annoying sound of his snoring, with my own thoughts.
Soft pitter-patter of paws approached the doorway and I glanced over my shoulder to see Chun, another wolf that helped kill my parents. I growled in the lowest tone possible so as to not wake Jung and turned my eyes back to the fire.
“So it is true. He brought you back.” Chun snickered as he trotted into the cave.
Scoffing, I turned an ear to him. “The fact that you're still alive after a hundred years will never cease to amaze me, you traitorous bastard.”
Shifting, he placed his hands on his hips and squared his shoulders at me. “You already knew I never served the king’s guard. So how would that make me a traitor?” he replied.
“You wore the crest of the king and had the audacity to kill my parents, who were under the protection of the palace.” I growled.
“I’d watch that tongue of yours, Eun-Ae.” Jung threatened.
I rolled my eyes at Jung, folding my arms over my chest. "Or what? Are you going to kill me again? I am not afraid of you." I tried to sound as confident as I could but I knew he could sense my fear.
Jung approached me, but his radiating anger forced me to walk backward until my back became flushed against the cave wall. I couldn't help but let out a low growl at his threatening stare.
"Back off, Jung." I snapped.
He chuckled, placing his hands on either side of my head. "The little fox thinks she can take me on?"
I pushed his hands off of me and tried to shove him backward but he didn't budge. A hand clasped around my throat and my head bounced off of the wall before I could even react. I let out a cry in pain and reached up to claw at Jung. "Get off of me!"
Jung leaned into my ear and whispered, "I don't think I'll do such a thing. You see little fox I will be king in no time. Once we take down the crown nothing will stop me from ripping your little heart out over and over again."
I froze, my breath was caught in my throat. I couldn't let this man get away with this, ever. "Jung, you will do no such thing!" I wrapped my tails around his wrist and pried his hand off of my neck before slinging him across the cave with ease.
"You will stay away from me!" I shouted. "I am the last of my kind, regardless if my pearl or my parent's pearls are floating around, I am the last. Without me you don't have a way in to the palace, without me you're not going to be able to defeat the king's army. So I suggest you take a seat and shut your dirty mouth." I snarled at him before shifting.
I glanced over at Chun who was found leaning against the cave entrance. "Whatever you say. I couldn't care any less than I already do.
