After he began to grow up, he was ordered by his uncle to bring merchandise to Khadijah bint Khuwailid, a wealthy and respected merchant. He performed his duties with sincerity and honesty. Khadijah was very impressed with his noble character and his ability as a trader. Then she expressed her heart to marry Muhammad who was 25 years old at the time. The 40 -year -old noblewoman was very happy when Muhammad accepted her proposal and their marriage took place. A new chapter began in the life of Muhammad and Khadijah as husband and wife.

At the age of 40, Muhammad received his first revelation and was appointed the prophet of the universe. At that time, he was in the Cave of Hira 'and always contemplated in silence, thinking about the fate of mankind at that time. Then the Angel Gabriel came to greet him and told him to recite the first verse of the Quran revealed to Muhammad. "Read in the name of your Lord Who created" (Al-'Alaq, 96: 1) The Prophet returned with a sense of trepidation and was enveloped by Khadijah who tried to calm him. When his spirit began to recover, he was told to Khadijah about what had happened. Then he began to preach secretly starting with his relatives to avoid great criticism from the people of Makkah who worshiped idols. His wife Khadijah was the first woman to believe in his prophethood. While Ali bin Abi Talib was the first man to believe in his teachings. Such preaching lasted for three years among his family only.

After the revelation ordered him to preach openly, then the Prophet began to spread the teachings of Islam more widely. "Then convey by you openly all that is commanded (to you) and turn away from the polytheists." (Al Hijr, 15:94) However, the people of Quraysh strongly opposed the teachings brought by him. They were hostile to him and his followers including Abu Lahab, his own uncle. Nor for Abu Talib, he always protected his nephew but he was very worried about the safety of the Prophet in view of the great opposition from the Quraish. Then he asked about Rasulullah's next plan. Then Rasulullah replied which means: "O my uncle, if the sun were placed in my left hand and the moon in my right hand, so that I stop this call, I will not stop it until the religion of Allah spreads to all corners or I perish because of it" He faced various pressure, temptation, suffering, ridicule and ridicule from the ignorant and hard-hearted people of Makkah to believe in Allah. Not only Rasulullah received such opposition, but his companions also felt the suffering such as Amar and Bilal bin Rabah who received severe torture.

Rasulullah was very sad to see human behavior at that time, especially the Quraish because he knew the consequences that would be received by them later. The grief was heightened when his beloved wife died in the tenth year of his prophethood. It was his wife who never tired of helping to spread Islam and sacrificing her life and property for Islam. He also did not tire of comforting Rasulullah when he was overwhelmed with grief. In that year, his uncle Abu Talib who took care of him since childhood also died. So the sadness felt by Rasulullah increased because of the loss of those who were very loved by him.

The pressure of the infidels on Rasulullah's struggle became even greater after the departure of his wife and uncle. So Rasulullah decided to migrate to Madinah following the threat from the Quraysh infidels to kill him. Rasulullah was greeted warmly by the people of Madinah. They were called the Muhajireen while the people of Madinah were called the Ansar. His call was well received by most of the people of Madinah and an Islamic state was established under the leadership of Rasulullas s.a.w himself. The Islamic State of Madinah The newly built Islamic state in Madinah met with opposition from the Quraish in Makkah and interference from Jews and other non -Muslims. Nevertheless, the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w also succeeded in establishing an Islamic state that fully practiced administration and legislation based on Islamic law. He was appointed head of religion, army and nation. All citizens have equal rights. The Medina Charter which is a canon or written agreement was formed. The charter contains several clauses that involve the relationship between all citizens including non -Muslims and covers political, social, religious, economic and military aspects. The content of the charter is based on revelation and is the basis of the law of Madinah. Islam is a religion that values ​​peace. However, the aspect of defense is very important to protect religion, society and the country. Rasulullah has participated in 27 military expeditions to defend and uphold Islamic justice. The battles he fought were the Battle of Badr (623 M/2 H), the Battle of Uhud (624 M/3 H), the Battle of Khandak (626 M/5 H) and the Battle of Tabuk (630 M/9 H). But not all wars end in victory.

In the year 625 A.D./ 4 AH, the Treaty of Hudaibiyah was signed between the Muslims of Medina and the Musyrikin of Makkah. Thus, the Islamic state of Madinah was recognized. Nabi Muhammad S.A.W. also managed to reopen the city of Makkah in 630 M/9 H along with 10 000 followers. The last war that the Prophet participated in was the Battle of Tabuk and he and his followers managed to get victory. The following year, he performed Hajj together with 100 000 of his followers. He also delivered his last message that year as well. His words which means: "O people, know that your God is One and you are all from one lineage that is the lineage of Prophet Adam a.s. The noblest of mankind among you in the sight of Allah s.w.t. is the most pious. I have left to you two things and you will not go astray forever as long as you hold fast to those two things, namely the Book of the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet. "The death of the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w He died in June 632 M/12 Rabiul Awal year 11 AH. He died after completing his duties as an apostle and leader of the country. He succeeded in leading mankind to the right path and became a responsible, knowledgeable and capable leader. Rasulullah is the best example for all human beings throughout the ages.
