    Wednesday, Katie’s day off. She typically volunteered to help with the noon meal at the Salvation Army’s Community Center in Claremont. The kitchen crew started work at ten a.m. She scurried around the house. Straightened the kitchen after breakfast. Pureed some food for Adam. Grabbed a quick shower, pulling on jeans and a pink cotton T-shirt. Then dressed Adam in Oshkosh jeans and striped T-shirt, leaving his feet bare (how he hated shoes). Finally piling his stroller and carry bag in the trunk of her Subaru. Adam threw his usual performance, twisting his body to make it more difficult to buckle him into the carseat.
