Malicious Turn of Events:
Jason tailed Katie’s Subaru out of town to Lake Clearwater State Park. He parked his own vehicle out of sight near a shelter close to the beach. Grabbing his binoculars, he walked to a fallen log resting in the sand and observed Katie waiting for someone. Then saw a pea-green truck pull alongside. A tall Ranger walked over to speak with her, accompanied by a husky. They appeared to know one another. Jason watched them approach a row of canoes, pick one out and launch the craft onto the lake.
They paddled to the end of the lake, then turned around and headed for an island, where they beached the canoe. Disappeared into the forest. Then reappeared on a flat outcrop to enjoy a picnic. The husky was free to romp and play. Their laughter carried to the beach
