Retrieving more marbles from her pocket, Desa tossed them around the corner and let them scatter in the aisle between the pillars. A few men cursed, but nobody tripped. They were advancing slowly; she could hear the footsteps. “Not gonna work, lady,” one of them shouted. Closing her eyes, Desa nodded once. She triggered the Force-Sinks that she had Infused into every one of those marbles, ordering them to feast on kinetic energy. None of them were strong enough to stop a man outright, but she didn’t need to stop them. Only to slow them down. She peeked around the corner and found several men trying to lift their pistols, moving lethargically as if they were trapped underwater.
