***Triton's POV***
I brushed her cheek with my thumb. I saw her eyes peering back at me from her spring-like eyes. They were so alive and full of hope. I could not help but feel they held the whole universe inside them.
“Your eyes always make me want to deep dive inside," I told her without thinking through how strange that sounded. “I mean, you know, they look so cool and inviting, and I wish I could be completely immersed inside of them."
She giggled and nuzzled my nose with her nose. “I know what you meant," she told me happily. “And, thank you for that. I love your eyes too. They seem to be grounded and reasonable. Something I wish there were more of in the world."
