Chapter 21

1059 Words

Bianca's POV The wind, a tangible force, tore at my cloak, a physical manifestation of the fear that gnawed at my insides, a relentless assault that threatened to rip the fabric and expose me to the unforgiving elements. Each icy gust felt like a personal affront, a brutal reminder of my isolation, my vulnerability, my precarious position perched high on this treacherous, windswept mountainside. The air, thin and biting, stung my lungs, stealing my breath with each icy inhalation, a constant, burning reminder of the altitude, the thin air, the unforgiving nature of this desolate, hostile landscape. My vision swam, the swirling snow a chaotic, blinding maelstrom of white against a bruised purple sky, a constant threat to disorient me, to send me tumbling into the unforgiving abyss below.
