Bella can't help it

281 Words
As the days went by, Bella found herself spending more and more time with Pilgrim. They would spar together, practice their forms, and even grab lunch together. Bella's feelings for Pilgrim only grew stronger, but she was still too afraid to tell him. She didn't want to ruin their friendship or make things awkward between them. You're one of the most talented and dedicated fighters I know." Bella's heart skipped a beat. Was Pilgrim about to confess his feelings to her? "Thanks, Pilgrim," she said, trying to sound casual. "I feel the same way about you." Pilgrim smiled, his eyes locked on hers. "I'm glad we're on the same page," he said. As they stood there, the tension between them was palpable. Bella knew that she had to tell Pilgrim how she felt... but was she brave enough?
