CHAPTER 13Ten minutes later he pulled the bell at Carlotta Rathbone’s flat in Grosvenor Gardens. It was on the first floor of a simple Georgian house that had been converted into residence apartments. Far off he could hear the tinkle of an old-fashioned bell. After a few moments a woman servant opened the door.
