Adelaide I left my office at six o'clock and immediately headed down the main street. With my cell phone, I answered some of Mandy's messages. I had an appointment with the agency to see some apartments, but I already knew I would have to choose tonight for my next house. Even though Mandy said it was okay for her to stay with her, I didn't feel good; I needed my own space and having someone around was not something I was used to. All my life I had to worry about myself, I had lived alone. Peter had been the first person I had shared something with in my life, and it had been my biggest mistake.
