Adelaide Coughing, I got out of the elevator and walked to Rowan's office as I tried to breathe heavily through my mouth. I had spent a week and a weekend of hell, holed up at home struggling with that stupid flu; my only consolation was Mandy, who now and then appeared and prepared the broth for me. I had spent my days on the couch, wrapped in a blanket, sleeping or trying to watch some TV. I had to admit that I wasn't well yet; I still felt numb and lacking strength, but I had plans to finish. The Campbell hotel was about to close, the offices of Black Industries were in the works, I couldn't leave my job in the hands of my boss.
