The elevator doors opened onto Gabriel and Riley's penthouse, which was right on the Thames. As soon as I entered I found myself in the large open space that gave space to the huge window from which you could see the whole river, in front of the window on the balcony there were two fabric sofas, separated by a glass table and as many armchairs always in the same style.
From a corridor to the side, I saw a figure coming from where I immediately recognized Gabriel.
"And I thought to the last that you wouldn't show up," he said, approaching.
"Do you think so little of me?" I said, tilting my head to the side.
"I just thought you had more to do at work than take a break to see people," Gabriel said, stopping before me.
